Bender and Oogie Boogie Hats

Hello Kitty Hat

Jack Skellington Hat

I love making hats because I can make them quickly and my family really enjoys wearing them. I get my ideas from family, friends, video games and movies.

I finished up the stitching of the Crocodile Stitch Purse. All that is left to do is to line it with light green satin. I think it turned out nice.

My son loves his Oogie Boogie hat so much that I decided to make him Oogie Boogie Mittens to go along with it.

Cowls, Scarves and Purses OH MY!

I just finished up a Cowl in Red Heart "Gemstone", and a scarf and bamboo handled purse in Bernat "Fresh Lilac". I'm thinking of adding tassels to the Cowl. Today we are heading to JoAnn Fabrics to spend my Christmas gift card while the store has their yarns on sale for buy one get one 50% off. I love sales like that!

Oh the things I've been up to lately!

Since my last post in September I've been incredibly busy crocheting all sorts of new things.

Flying Spaghetti Monster Hat

In October I worked for a wonderful Halloween Store where I got a bunch of new ideas for stuff to design and met some great people.

I've made so many different things that there isn't space to put in all the pictures on one page. I'll post more pic's as time goes on.

This Christmas's special project and what turned out to be the "Hot" gift among my friends and family was:

High Top Sneakers

If you would like me to make you something just let me know!

What has you hooked today?

I'm an avid crocheter but that's not my only addiction. I also love to chat with friends about the things they love to do in their spare time whether it be crocheting, like me, or certain TV shows or cooking, etc. This blog is for all of us to get together and talk about the things we enjoy doing. So come on in, sit down, grab a virtual cuppa your favorite drink and let's talk about the things that have us hooked.

This week I'm working on a Zig-Zag Afghan in Red Heart Mexicana yarn. I've been working on this Afghan for a few weeks and it's just about finished and it's turning out really really nice. I love taking my crocheting with me when I go out somewhere because it helps me spend time doing something productive when there is nothing else to do.... like when your in the Dr.'s office waiting room as I was today.

Another love that I have is reading. I've been on the "wait" list for the most recent Game of Thrones book "A Dance With Dragons" for over a month now. I'm too cheap to buy the darned book outright so instead I sit and wait till I get a letter or email from the Library telling me I can pick up the book. This book series, and now the HBO series, have me completely HOOKED!! Yes.. the books are long but every page brings you deeper into the amazing world that is "The Game of Thrones" and its pays off in the end, believe me.

So, join me and lets talk about what has you hooked... share a crochet pattern or picture of what your up to lately! Let's get hooked together! Whatdayasay?
